Founded over 2 decades ago, Kile Construction is the favorite remodeling company of many homeowners throughout the Coeur d’Alene area. The reason our customers love us is because we are honest craftsmen on a mission to provide great experiences when it comes to building and remodeling homes.

A lot of stories you hear about contractors make some people wary of selecting a contractor but we make it easy. From the first time you talk to us on the phone or meet us in person you’ll find that you’re dealing with an honest person that just wants to help you get what you want.

We’ve been building in this area for a long time so we know what contractors we like to work with and which ones we don’t. We know the best places to buy materials and get the right finishes for your home. No matter if your project is large or small, we are excited to take a look.

Norm Kile, Founder

Norm Kile was born in Alaska and grew up in Oregon and California. From the time he was in his late teens he’s been working on houses. Starting on a framing crew at 17 years old it didn’t take very long for Norm to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. He wanted to build.

In his early 20’s Norm joined the Navy building division. They were called the SeaBees. As a foreman he led construction projects of all shapes and sizes building barracks and other military buildings. As an instructor Norm was responsible for teaching other soldiers how to properly throw grenades and shoot firearms. Norm is a natural leader and a great teacher which lends itself well to being a General Contractor.

After serving a full term in the Navy, Norm spent 2 decades as a superintendent for multiple home builders and remodeling companies in the Bay Area, California. His jobs always went smoothly and always made a profit. He was a favorite of his bosses until he left the company to move to Idaho shortly before the year 2000.

When he arrived in Idaho, he founded NL Kile Construction and has been working on the homes of Coeur d’Alene and Spokane residents ever since. Norm is still the leader of the company and is thrilled to spend the remaining years of his career providing wonderful remodeling experiences for his customers.

Chuck Kile, Co-Founder

Around the age 30 Chuck got the itch to travel and decided to start an online marketing company so he could be location-independent.

Naturally, his clients ended up being other contractors and home services companies. Adapt Digital Solutions is now one of the top marketing companies for home services in the United States. After two years of traveling the world Chuck returned home to Coeur d’Alene to again take part in the family business.

He now runs two businesses and is thrilled to be able to earn a living doing what he likes to do while making his customers’ lives better and more enjoyable. If he’s not on the job site, then he’s on the computer managing his team of marketers and helping other construction companies survive and thrive.

Chuck Kile was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in California until around age 11 when his family moved to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. From a young age Chuck was swinging a hammer. Though destructive at first, he soon learned how to fix the things he broke with the same hammer he used to break it.

Growing up around a family remodeling business, Chuck has been working on homes since he was in his mid-teens. After high school he attended college while working on and off in the family business.

In his late 20’s, Chuck moved to Portland Oregon where he worked as a Superintendent for a high-end remodeling firm that specialized in full-home renovations. Here he gained a massive amount of experience not just about building, but about business, marketing, and sales.
